Enrichment

As a Sixth Form, we believe in providing opportunities within and beyond departments to engage and inspire every sixth former during their time with us.

We manage this by delivering an Enrichment Programme of activities which all our students have the opportunity to take part in; all of which are designed to engage, motivate and develop new skills across a range of fields (including the arts, sports and education). In preparing our students for the future, this weekly event provides a range of opportunities to gain new experiences, develop life skills and pursue interests.

During Year 12 you will be timetabled to attend 2 hours per week of the Enrichment Programme. How this works will be explained to you when you start in the Sixth Form, but it is important that you remember this forms an important part of your timetable as a Sixth Form student at CamSF and that the staff you work with will be asked to provide a reference towards your UCAS or future employment applications just like your other subject teachers.

Enrichment Opportunities 2025/6

Recreational Sport

This will be a variety of sports from week to week, including team games like dodgeball and pickleball, as well as individual or doubles sports like badminton and table tennis. Fun is the priority, and although healthy competition is encouraged, it really is the taking part that counts. All abilities welcome!

Health and Wellness

This is movement for wellness, again varying from week to week. On the agenda we have yoga, pilates, use of the fitness suite and boxercise! Here we prioritise movement to benefit your mind – kindness, not competition! No prior experience necessary, all abilities will be catered for.

Footsal

Like football, but on the hard courts! This means that there are a few additional rules to protect both you and our space – footballs are to stay below the shoulder, and throw-ins become roll-ins. From five-a-side to a full 22, this could be an excellent opportunity to get a bit of practice in before our league matches on a Wednesday afternoon.

Sixth Form Show

Join the drama and music departments to put on a Sixth Form only showcase! Led by you we are looking for singers, actors, dancers, musicians, directors and backstage staff to bring numbers from the West End to life. Is there a solo you’ve been practising in your bedroom for the last 4 years? Now is your time to bring it to the stage in a fully-lit (in every sense) performance.

Oracy and Debate

Itching to get into the tricky problems of the world? Passionate about current affairs? Keen to improve your public speaking? Then oracy and debate is the enrichment for you! From researching and planning to speech writing and tips for delivery, oracy and debate is a fantastic enrichment option for anyone interested in a future career in law, politics, teaching or management.

Craft for Wellbeing

Do you need to be doing something to relax? From micro-scupture, through quilling, via stop-frame animation, craft for wellbeing has something for everyone. Indulge your inner artist and be as creative as you like – or simply enjoy the calm experience of following instructions in order to make something beautiful (or occasionally slightly odd-looking). We would appreciate a £10 donation so we can purchase materials.

Sixth Form Podcast

We are a group of year 12s who are setting up a sixth form podcast! Using the music studio we will be planning, recording and editing a podcast about student life. We plan to interview a variety of teachers and students about their experiences.

Reading Mentors

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with students in key stage three who are struggling with reading. Literacy and reading is perhaps the most important thing that we teach, and students who have a reading age below their calendar age are at a huge disadvantage. This would be a brilliant opportunity for anyone who wants to share a love of literature, or who is interested in working with children in the future. Training will be delivered by a specialist reading teacher.

CamSF Newspaper

We are a group of students who are interested in starting a newspaper for CamSF! We will be planning, researching, writing, editing and publishing our work for distribution around the Sixth Form and to promote all the brilliant things we do. Please come along if you are interested in journalism, photography, or writing in general!
