Safeguarding at CamSF and CamVC

If you are worried yourself, or have concerns about a friend, colleague, or young person from Cambourne Sixth Form, please reach out to us at cam-safeguarding@cambournevc.org.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people is everyone’s responsibility.  Everyone who comes into contact with students, sixth formers, their families, and carers has a role to play in safeguarding.

To ensure we fulfil this responsibility at CamSF, all professionals are trained to ensure their approach is student-centred, always priortising what is in the best interest of the young person.  No single professional can have a full picture of a student's needs and circumstances. If young people and families are to receive the right help at the right time, everyone who comes into contact with them has a role to play in identifying concerns and the sharing of information, on a 'need to know' basis. The Safeguarding Team will ensure the information is collated and dealt with appropriately.

A copy of our safeguarding policy can be found here.

At Cambourne Sixth Form, the Designated Safeguarding Lead is Frankie Rose, Head of Sixth Form. Any member of the Cambourne Village College Safeguarding Team led by Jess Smith, can also support with safeguarding.
